Recent Successes

· Successfully represented a technology company in an injunctive relief proceeding in federal court.  Without notice, the Federal Trade Commission obtained a sweeping temporary restraining order shutting down the company's operations, freezing its bank accounts, and ordering expedited discovery. After a three-day evidentiary hearing, the federal court permitted the company to resume operations with only minimal restrictions and unfroze the company's bank accounts.

· Won a complete defense verdict for a major gaming company in federal court and served as second chair during the four-day bench trial.

· Prevailed before the California Court of Appeal in multiple actions. Specifically, in an action filed by borrowers concerning a multi-million dollar loan, the Court of Appeal affirmed the trial court's dismissal of the entire complaint with prejudice in a 22-page opinion.

· Persuaded an Administrative Law Judge to deny all claims against a charter school after a multi-day administrative proceeding.

· Successfully resolved multiple profit participation/deferred payment disputes on behalf of producers and other service providers.

· Successfully resolved a federal lawsuit alleging breach of a commercial lease.

· Successfully handled a lawsuit by an inventor claiming failure to perform under a product development contract.

· Successfully resolved dozens of lawsuits alleging violations of the Automotive Sales Finance Act, including a class action involving thousands of plaintiffs and millions of dollars in exposure.

· Obtained dismissal with prejudice of numerous mortgage-related actions in federal and state court.
